Eyeline privacy policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
Short version: Eyeline does not collect your data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We run no servers that receive your scripts or recordings.
What stays on your device
- Scripts are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they sync through your own private iCloud storage (Apple CloudKit) so they appear on your other devices. We cannot see them.
- Voice follow uses Apple's speech recognition on your device. Audio is processed to keep the script in step with you and is not sent to us.
- Recordings made with the camera and microphone stay on your device. On iPhone and iPad, they are saved to Photos and to the app's Files folder; on the Mac, to your Movies folder. We never receive them.
- Remote control connects your devices directly over your local network (and Bluetooth where available). Nothing goes through the internet or through us. Eyeline asks for local network access for this.
Permissions Eyeline may ask for
- Microphone and Speech Recognition: voice follow and recording audio.
- Camera: recording yourself while you read.
- Photos (add and read): saving takes and playing them back.
- Local network: remote control between your devices.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details or your Apple Account information.
Children
Eyeline collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
